Pumpkin Spice Cowl! Hand-knit with supercoiled corespun yarn.

  • $ 55.00

Cowls make me smile so hard. I love wearing cowls, and I regret having only one handspun cowl I call my own. Cowls are a great garment to keep you warm and brighten up cold, grey winter days.

The fiber in this cowl is merino, silk, bluefaced leicester, angelina, bamboo, and firestar. I spun the yarn for this cowl from a sparkly batt, wrapped around a brushed mohair/nylon core (corespun). I then supercoil plied the corespun single around an orange silk thread to get the wild and squiggly yarn.

I knit the cowl with a simple lace pattern I thought up while watching American Horror Story one night. This cowl won't wrap around your neck more than once--it's designed to be a loose cowl. There are wooden toggle buttons that you can put through any stitch to wear the cowl in any number of ways. These buttons are just tied on with scrap yarn (see last photo), so if you prefer a different button style, you can remove these and add your own!

Please be careful while washing (wash gently in lukewarm water with wool wash or gentle soap). This cowl is may felt if washed too vigorously.

I try to photograph colors as accurately as possible. Please keep in mind that color varies from monitor to monitor--what looks right on my screen may not be the same on yours!
