OoaK, Rambouillet/Mulberry Silk/Black Welsh/Manx Loaghtan, 4 ounces
37.5% Mulberry Silk
12.5% Black Welsh
12.5% Manx Loaghtan
Rambouillet is a wonderfully soft, floofy fiber (its sproing factor is through the roof!). It was bred in northern France from Spanish Merino, so it has similar characteristics to Merino, but I find it much more enjoyable to spin. The overly generous helping of Mulberry Silk offers a ton of strength and shine. The natural colors of Black Welsh and Manx Loaghtan offer complexity to the blend, as well as strength and loft. This blend would be wicked-awesome for sweaters!
This braid was hand-dyed using wash- and light-fast acid dyes.
This fiber can be spun any way you like for a wonderful yarn. Please take care while hand-washing the yarn or crafted item as wool can felt.
I try to photograph colors as accurately as possible. Please keep in mind that color varies from monitor to monitor--what looks right on my screen may not be the same on yours!
