This pattern was designed by grist creative using 2 skeins of Crime Scene fingering yarn (or 2 bumps of Crime Scene fiber so you can spin for your own unique cowl!). The cowl takes 2 skeins of Crime Scene fingering; each skein is 460 yards, 3 ply, 100 grams. Mix and match colors if you want! One skein could be used for the first two pattern sections, and the second skein could be used for the final section and edging.

Pleated stitches and cables give this textured cowl interest and depth, and make it suitable for men or women. Adventurous knitters will find the steganography stitch fascinating, the electrophoresis panel a relaxing interlude, and the histology engaging enough to hold interest. The stunning Bloodstain fingering yarn from The Homestead Hobbyist’s Crime Scene collection has gorgeous layers of color on a wonderfully unusual fiber mix and gives this cowl warmth without adding weight.
