Criolla yarn. 200 yards. Batch 04
This yarn is from Sheep #73, two years' worth of shearing. It's wonderfully smooshy (smooshier than some of the other Criolla yarn, even) and sturdy--you hear a wonderful *twang* when you test the yarn's strength. This yarn would be excellent for sweaters, mitts, vests, hats, thick shawls, and the like. Combine with other natural-color Criolla skeins for delicious colorwork projects!
Each skein is:
12-13 WPI/sport-ish weight yarn
Chocolate (a delicious brown, a little lighter than Batch 10, with some hints of rusty overtones)
The wool was small-batch mini-mill processed near Seattle at a micro-mill owned by a husband and wife team on Belfast Mini-mill equipment.
Criolla wool felts excellently.
This fiber can be spun any way you like for a wonderful yarn. Please take care while hand-washing the yarn or crafted item, as this wool felts easily.
Skein pictured may not be the skein you receive. I try to photograph colors as accurately as possible. Please keep in mind that color varies from monitor to monitor--what looks right on my screen may not be the same on yours!
